I hate to feel the love between us die...

Well, it has been intense. I was worried about managing seven posts in one day, and ended up posting nine. And while we are on figures, we also set the new record (740!) for RSS subcribers. Does the Blog Action Day changed anything? I still feel like fighting against the whole world. But at least, I know there are many other feeling the same way. One day we'll come together.

Beh, è stato intenso. Mi preoccupavo di riuscire a gestire sette post in un giorno solo, ed ho finito per farne nove. E parlando di cifre, abbiamo battuto il record (740!) di lettori del feed RSS. Il Blog Action Day ha cambiato qualcosa? Io mi sento ancora come se lottassi contro il mondo intero. Però adesso so che altri provano la stessa cosa. Verrà un giorno in cui uniremo le nostre forze...

What if we played with time, making trees growing at our own speed, if we listened to their noises, their breathing? The answer is in this two minutes short by Francisco Lanca, produced at Imaginario. They have an amazing videoblog up, with some exquisite pieces posted, but the last post is from April 2007. I warmly hope to see more stuff from them.

Ways to Protect the Planet: Chimney Sweep

Protecting the Earth from our new enemy...

There are several suggestions about how to stop global warming: some are simple, some are crazy. These spot covers the latter... "Who can combat the proliferation of green house gas? The Airforce, armed with a deadly weapon: a giant cork!" Part of the MTV Switch campaign, the Ways to Protect the Planet series has been developed at 180 Amsterdam by copywriter Lee Hempstock and creative directors Richard Bullock and Andy Fackrell. Design, animation, editing, post production and perhaps something else, was done at Panda Panther by Naomi Nishimura, Jonathan Garin, Yansheuw Ke. Executive producer: Lydia Holness. Sound recorded and mixed by Reinder van Zalk at Earforce.

Ci sono molti suggerimenti su come fermare il riscaldamento del globo: alcuni semplici, altri folli. Lo spot riguarda questi ultimi... "Chi può lottare contro la proliferazione dei gas serra? Le forze aeree, con un'arma micidiale: un sughero gigante!" The following is an interactive (kind of) Quicktime clip. I'm not telling anything else, because part of the concept is that you find out what to do by yourself. Reflorestar was ideated by Domenico Massareto. Art direction, design and animation by Carlos Baer and Dalton Uehara at Pub Motion Graphics. The clip was short listed at Cannes Lions 2007. P.S. Experiment. Transform. Create.

A great man once said that it's not answers that change the world, it's questions. This was not supposed to be here today. I found it just yesterday, when everything was already uploaded to the server. But I thought it could have been a great opener for today posts. Even though Sasol is actually a petroleum company... Once again, in arts it doesn't matter what you say, but how you're good at saying it. The spot was directed by Keith Rose at Velocity Films and post produced at Waterfront Post. As noted by Li, the spot gets some inspiration from The Sultan's Elephant by Royal De Luxe. Check out this clip.

Un grand'uomo disse che non sono le riposte a cambiare il mondo: sono le domande. Questo spot non era previsto. L'ho trovato giusto ieri, quando avevo già caricato tutto sul server. Ma ho pensato che sarebbe stato un'ottima apertura per i post di questa giornata. Nonostante Sasol sia una compagnia petrolifera... Non per ripetermi, ma nell'arte non conta ciò che dici, ma quanto sei bravo a dirlo. Lo spot è stato diretto da Keith Rose presso Velocity Films. Post produzione: Waterfront Post.
